Sunday, August 23 - Finals, community market and citizens completion

Job Description

Woman Up setters come together to create every climb for the festival’s Open and Citizens competitions, and this year marks an exciting first: Woman Up will be hosted on routes. We’re thrilled to have Touchstone’s own Claire Miller leading the event as Event Chief.

Woman Up 2026 is a rope competition, and we’re looking for passionate routesetters with strong route-setting skills to help bring it to life. Setters of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Our goal is to build a dynamic, supportive environment where everyone can grow, learn, and succeed together. Woman Up is more than a setting gig. It’s an opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, push your craft, and connect with other motivated setters. Applicants should be excited to both mentor and be mentored as part of a strong, engaged team.

Qualifications for the guest setting team include:

  • A minimum of 3 years of climbing experience.

  • At least 1 year of professional ROUTEsetting experience in a commercial gym.

  • USA Climbing experience is a plus but not required.

  • A passion for climbing, with a strong intuitive or technical understanding of climbing movement.

  • Strong communication skills, along with a willingness to learn and collaborate.

  • A commitment to mentoring and being mentored, fostering the inspiring environment that defines WU.

  • Physical ability to regularly lift and move 40-50 pounds.
