Location: Redpoint & Flashpoint Bristol
Contract: Part-time (3 days/week: Monday–Wednesday)
Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 pro-rata, depending on experience
Start Date: August/September (or as soon as possible)

We’re excited to offer an opportunity to join Impact Route Setting as an In-House Route Setter, as a key part of our route setting team across Redpoint and Flashpoint Bristol. We’re looking for a passionate, experienced setter who’s ready to push their route setting to bring amazing climbing experiences to the customers at these walls. This is a key role within our setting team, ideal for an experienced setter ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with Impact’s Chief Route Setter and Directors to help shape the climbing experience at these walls, ensuring amazing quality climbing that Impact is known for, whilst working as a part of a coherent and professional team.
What You’ll Be Doing
● Route setting as part of the team at both Redpoint and Flashpoint Bristol. Setting both routes and boulders.
● Ensuring consistent, high-quality route setting tailored to each centre’s needs.
● Listening to and taking on feedback from the Chief, Directors and Customers.
● Supporting and mentoring Assistant Route Setters along their development pathway.
● Setting for our busy schedule of events, competitions, and workshops.
● Building and maintaining strong working relationships with site teams.
● Working to Impact’s setting policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
● At least 2 years of professional route setting, including rope setting.
● Experience working in a cohesive route setting team.
Desirable Experience
● Experience developing or mentoring less experienced setters.
● Competition route setting experience.
● Relevant Qualifications, including: RSD (rope and boulder), First Aid, MEWP Licence (3a and 3b)
