Position: Full-time 38 hours per week
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year - Salary can be negotiated based on skills and experience.

We’re known for our vibrant, diverse community and our love for both indoor and outdoor bouldering. With a strong focus on athlete development, we offer a variety of training programs for both youth and adult climbers.

The Role:
As Head Setter, you’ll be the creative visionary behind our bouldering problems, leading a talented team to design safe, innovative, challenging, and aesthetically pleasing routes forclimbers of all abilities. You’ll work closely with coaches to ensure that our youth programs and advanced athletes get the most out of every problem you set, and you'll have the freedom and guidance to shape and grow the setting team as the gym expands.
Key responsibilities:
● Lead the overall setting strategy for the gym, focusing on commercial and competition-style problems that push climbers to their limits.
● Set for competitions, ranging from local events to larger-scale national level comps, while supporting competition prep for advanced athletes.
● Mentor, train, and develop a team of setters, fostering creativity, safety, and technical skill across all problem styles.
● Collaborate with the coaching team to create problems that support the training needs of youth climbers and advanced athletes.
● 2-3 days of setting per week + administration, development and coaching as necessary
What We Are Looking For:
● At least 5 years of route setting experience, with a strong track record of setting for competitions and commercial environments.
● Proven ability to head set competitions and design problems for athletes of all levels, from beginners to advanced climbers.
● A passion for mentoring and developing setters, with a focus on skills development and team growth.
● Experience working closely with athletes and coaches to design training-specific problems that meet the needs of competitive climbers.
